Marriage - Fight Till The End
Marriage is hard. No one tells you how hard it would be and how hard you have to work at building it. Every marriage will hit deep waters and high fires. No marriage will escape it. However, no marriage will survive the deep waters and high fires if God is not in it.
If you are single , focus your time on building a secure relationship with the Lord and a deep foundation on His Word. Make sure that you are living life from that place. Get yourself ready for a spouse if your desire is to marry someday. God is not going to bring a godly man into your life if you are not ready and your life have no room for marriage.
Now, marrying the 'best' does not guarantee no problem, no fights, no breakdowns or no affairs.
Marrying an 'anointed' man of God also does not guarantee that these storms will not hit you.
In life and in marriages, we will all go through deep waters and high fires and that comes in different shapes and forms for different people and couples.
The only secure and guaranteed relationship we could ever have is with the Lord. There will be no death or separation in that relationship. Give it your all to that relationship.
If you are married and facing deep waters and high fires, I encourage you to NOT give up and keep fighting for your marriage. God hates divorce! Even if you are in an unequally yoked marriage, the Word provides an example and solution to how you can win your husband. It is no reason to divorce.
It has become common to 'leave' when things get tough. Leaving is not the answer.
God is able to restore your marriage, heal your hearts, mend your relationship. He is able to do a miracle- even make rivers in the desert. Don't quit too early. Don't leave when you can still fight. Don't walk away when you are still able to love. Even if you feel you can't, trust God to help you fight, stay and love again.
He is faithful to keep your marriage intact and give you a blessed married life. All you need to do is ask Him and trust Him!
