Marriage - Fight Till The End (Part 3)

As a wife, I've always prayed for God to change my husband and change my marriage. I think it's good to pray for your husband and marriage on a daily basis and to bring your man and marriage on the altar before the Lord, asking Him to bless your union.

But often times, part of that 'blessing' and prayer is actually YOU. We forget that God has given us everything we need to make our husbands happy and our marriage blessed. Pray for YOU, too. Ask God to change YOU! No matter what problems your marriage inherited over the years, a big part of the solution is going to come from YOU. If you remain sweet and soft towards the Holy Spirit, He will speak to you and show you the 'hows', 'whys' and 'whens'.

The enemy is all out and all set to make you find fault and fight with your husband. Well, that's his job. But it's your job to be the guardian, the nurturer, the bearer of life and light in your marriage. Are we doing our jobs?

It is so easy to get sidetracked and busy with other things that need our attention like kids, jobs, housework, etc but we need to realize that God has called us to be the wise woman who builds her home and not tear it down with her hands.

Stop fighting with your husband.
Start fighting 'with' (together) your husband and
watch how God turn things around for your good!

No matter how bleak, impossible or unchangeable things look like in your marriage right now, God is waiting to help you. He is waiting to answer your prayers of change. He has a plan to restore your marriage. Trust Him with your life, your husband and your marriage. But to trust Him and let Him lead and take over, you first need to let go the reins of control. I have tried it my way and trust me, it does not end well. After hard knocks and lessons, I finally am doing it His way. His way is not to rely on your feelings and emotions to tell you what to do and what to say, His way is to rely on the Holy Spirit's guidance and 'still small voice' and the Word of God to know what to do and what to say. And boy, what a difference that makes!
