APPROVED
My youngest daughter, Seraphina, loves to dress up and do her hair. After every shower and dress up session, she would go out into the living room and show off her outfit and hair so everyone could tell her how beautiful she looked. She's only 2. How did she learn that? I certainly did not teach her that!
To be approved is not something that we learn but it's something that we inherited after the fall of Adam and Eve.
Before the fall, they didn't even know they were naked. They were happily managing the earth and living together in harmony, knowing they were loved. That changed after the fall.
We all have the need to be approved. We want to be approved by our parents, our spouses, our bosses, our colleagues, our friends and our community. Why? It's because when we feel approved, we feel loved.
Can I tell you today that you are already approved by your Creator. You did not come out of nowhere. You did not "just exist". You did not just come out because your mom and dad decided to have a good time.
You were carefully thought of, planned in detail long before you got here, intricately woven and beautifully crafted by the Almighty Creator. Why? Because He loves you. He loves you and He approves you.
There is nothing you can do to win His approval because He approved you even before you got here. He knew you and He fashioned you. He wants the best for you.
There is no need to go around trying to get approval from anybody when God approves you. When you know this truth, you can be at ease with yourself and drop the false expectations of yourself. When you live knowing that you are approved by Him, you will live beyond others' expectations.
"Know your worth, know your voice and know your influence".
You have been approved!
For You formed my inward parts;
For You formed my inward parts;
You
covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I
am fearfully and wonderfully
made;
Marvellous
are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You,
When
I was made in secret,
And skilfully wrought in the
lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And
in Your book they all were written,
The
days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How
great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would be more in number
than the sand;
When
I awake, I am still with You.
