HE carries us

God is my favourite person and thing to think about each morning when I wake up. There is nothing bad about Him. He was there for us the moment we entered this world, He has been there throughout every milestone of our lives.

The first smile, the first step, the first fall, the first cry, the first bite, the first tooth, the first friend we made, the first fight, the first love, the first heartbreak, the first exam, the first job, the first house, the first car, the first child; it can go on and on.

And He is still with us now. He will never ever leave us. He created us and is in love with us.

He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us so that we can be reconciled with Him and be with Him forever. He never stops pursuing us with His love.

I love this passage in Deuteronomy 1:29-31,

"Then I said to you, ‘Do not be terrified, or afraid of them. The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place."

Our Lord goes before us! There is nothing we need to fear or worry about when our Lord goes before us! He will fight for us. Many times, we feel defeated, we feel like giving up or turning back because of life's circumstances. That's exactly what the enemy wants us to do. He wants us to worry and be fearful. He wants us to fight for ourselves. He wants us to carry our own burdens and be overcome by them. But here, the Bible tells us that God carries us, as a man carries his own son.

As a parent, I am always trying to teach my children to be independent and do things for themselves but if they come to me for help, I will help them with everything I have. And I'm only human. I can just imagine God, our Father, when we go to Him for help, carrying us in His arms and doing all He can to help us.

He is a compassionate and loving God. He will never refuse our cries for help. Go to Him today.

"Knowing God is having a Father who will never leave you nor forsake you"

He wants to fight for you. He wants to carry you. Would you let Him?
